Addiction or Life? Seems like an easy choice to make. Choose life, right? If only it were that simple. No one chooses to become addicted. We're not running around looking for something to be a slave to, most of the time we just want some relief, to have fun, relax, enjoy the moment, fit in.. It sneaks up on us and before we know it our lives are out of our control.

Recovery Is Real

We approach addiction whole-istically, meaning a whole life approach, and based on your individual needs. A one size fits all plan won't work. That just make folks feel more hopeless, and addiction comes with enough of that. We don't need it in our recovery!! Your recovery is a deeply personal journey. You deserve a shame-free dumping ground. A safe place to learn how to live, to learn how to love, and lean in to letting go.

If you need hospitalized detox, we will help you to find a program. If your detox can be treated on an outpatient level, we will walk with you through that process. Medication assisted treatment has come (MAT) a long way over the last 20 years. Lot's of people don't need to stay on MAT the rest of their lives. Some folks may need too or may need other types of mental health medications and that's ok!!

We will look at our nutrition and any potential deficiencies that may need addressed. When we've spent a bit too much time supplementing our neurotransmitters with alcohol or drugs and stop... our brain cells are like "wtf..." They're flatlined for a bit and need time to heal and begin reproducing those neurotransmitters on it's own. Post-Acute Withdrawal (PAW) is a period of time that varies between folks but is roughly 6 months to 2 years period of time in which our brain is healing. During this time it is common to experience quite a few mental health symptoms and physical issues. In active addiction we may have shared needles and contracted a virus or hit our head due to falling or being in fights causing CTE/TBI (Chronic traumatic encephalopathy/traumatic brain injury) and not even know our body is suffering till we are sober which can put us at risk for relapsing.

Our body wants to heal, and will heal if we give it the space, grace and support it needs to succeed.

Do I Need To Go To Detox?

One of the hardest addictions people struggle with is food.  Food isn't something we can be abstinent from. There is no "I've been sober 25 days!" with food. The most dangerous substance to stop is alcohol and Benzodiazepine (xanax/valium/ativan). These two substances withdraw potential need to be carefully assessed so we can get you started on the right track. White knuckling it is like driving on a washed out dirt road when ya got a highway two acres down. Sure it's got perils of its own, this is Oklahoma (LoL), but we'll live and actually make it to our destination.
